I am an artist and programmer.

My work often reflects places where I’ve lived or traveled, everyday urban scenes, roads and highways... While my subjects are representational, I found it most exciting to see and paint them with simple, semi-abstract forms, and especially strong perspectives. Sometimes I see a place newly and differently after I paint it - more peaceful, more energetic, or both at the same time. I hope my paintings offer something new to you too.

Born in Beijing in the era that art was largely forgotten, I have worked most of my professional career as an engineer. Started painting on and off after I moved to Seattle. A few years ago, a friend introduced me to digital painting apps. The confluence of programming and painting is very dear to me.
